Description
This course offers an opportunity for students to develop and practice the skills necessary to create and publish a literary journal for a readership of the campus community and beyond. Students will compose, solicit, collect, edit, and present fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and/or hybrids in print and/or digital format(s). Students will learn the conventions of literary genres and through reading and discussing regional, national and/or international literary journals learn about the aesthetics of layout and presentation. They will apply this knowledge in the production, promotion and distribution of the QCC campus literary journal. Students will work with Student Activities, such as the Creative Writing Club and Art Club to increase submissions and promote the journal.
