The degree offers experiential learning in foundational media production skills, including field and studio production, camera, lighting, screenwriting, editing, and audio using industry-standard software and hardware. The degree provides intensive preparation for students who wish to pursue a career in production and communication as well eligibility for internship programs through CUNY and MediaMkrs. Graduates with an A.S. in Film and Media Production can enter the industry directly or continue their studies at 4-year digital media programs in and outside of CUNY.
